Digicel Undertook the Rehabilitation of the Ultrasound Room at the Camp Perrin Health Center

On Friday, April 14, 2023, employees of Digicel in the South region undertook the rehabilitation of the ultrasound room at the Camp Perrin Health Center.

For its Christmas 2022 campaign, institutions from all ten departments were invited to submit ideas they would like to bring to life if they were to receive a $5,000 funding from the Digicel Foundation. Once the ideas were received, they were presented to the public, who were invited to vote on social media. After this stage, one institution per department received the funds to implement their proposed activity. It is worth noting that a total of $50,000 was allocated to this end-of-year campaign, with the majority of beneficiaries being healthcare institutions.

In the South department, the first place was awarded to the Camp Perrin Health Center, which received the highest number of votes. In line with their project, the center's officials purchased an ultrasound machine, restored their electrical system, and with the support of Digicel employees, rehabilitated the ultrasound room. These efforts will benefit thousands of Camp Perrin residents and people living in neighboring areas.
