About Digicel Foundation Haiti
Established in March 2007, the Digicel Foundation in Haiti strives to ensure that communities have a better future by supporting community based activities with a particular emphasis on those improving access to and quality of early childhood and primary school education.Our Vision
At the Digicel Foundation, we aim to invest in sustainable development programmes for the sole purpose of building stronger, more resilient communities in the countries where we operate.

Schools built across the country serving more than 60,000 students.

20 trainers earned a certification in pre-school and primary education systems from the Université du Québec à Montréal.

School directors followed a training to strengthen and develop school leadership.

Teachers benefitted from phase 1 training which aims to standardize primary school teachers’ knowledge and skills such as reading, writing, math and technical aptitude through an 18-month in-service training.

Teachers received a phase 2 training which is designed to Incentivize the best performing and committed teachers to successfully complete Phase I in order to access an additional 70 hours of learning in social science, natural science, and civic education.

At the Foundation, we strive to not only make a difference in the lives of our partners but to also build effective and long lasting relationships with key stakeholders. This ranges from the beneficiaries whose projects we support, to our suppliers with whom we work with, and joint donors on various programmes. We're learnt that collaboration is the key cornerstone for sustainability.

We are investing in education by constructing buildings suitable for learning and training teachers, so that the whole community is involved in managing these common assets.
Through Konbit Pou Chanjman, we want to bring to life the ideas of many organisations that want to get involved in improving the lives of their communities. We have already funded over a hundred projects in areas such as agriculture, fishing and access to water, to name but a few.
As well as customer relations, we build relationships based on human values, mutual support and the involvement of each employee in his or her immediate environment.
